Alliance Tennis Academy is the up and coming junior tennis program in Katy, Texas. It all began when Gonzalo Anderson and Pedro Gedda had a vision to pass on their brand of expertise and training to students that were eager to excel and follow their footsteps to the college and professional level. Gonzalo Anderson was born and raised in Lima, Peru, where he was consistently in the top rank for his age group. This earned him a spot in the ITF South American Team during his junior career, where he traveled the world along with fellow top ranked players such as, Fernando Gonzalez and Nicolas Massu from Chile, as well as Luis Horna from Peru. In 1997, Gonzalo then continued his career by playing for the varsity team at Texas A&M University. During his time playing for Texas A&M, the Aggies won two Big Twelve Championships, and were consistently in the top 10 in the nation. Pedro Gedda was born and raised in Goiania, Brazil, where he excelled as one of the top junior players in his country. He then moved to Barcelona, Spain, where he trained at the Federacion Catalana de Tenis training center. During that time, he started his professional tennis career playing at the Futures level. In 2002 Pedro was brought to Houston by Westside Tennis Club to join the Westside’s Professional Tennis Team. Both Gonzalo and Pedro are very driven and professional individuals whose high energy and expertise brings out the best effort from their students. They run Alliance Tennis Academy with a strong focus on improving fundamentals, mental strength, physical conditioning and attitude on the court.
